What I Ate Wednesday

Wanna’ know what I ate Wednesday?  Worms.  That’s what I ate Wednesday.  Though I wish I was referring to those yummy, gummy confections, it was actually just a bad day.  I could blame part of it on hormones, but most of it was just plain ol’ bad.

wiawEnough of the negativity.  WIAW is a blog-hop party, and parties are fun.  Plus, it’s my birthday week.  Let’s do this!

Pre-workout: rice cake with some peanut butter

Post-workout: protein oats with strawberries, raspberries, and Barlean’s fish oil

oatsSnack: almonds, water, and prenatal vitamins

snackLunch: egg whites and cheese on a sandwich thin with veggies and a bit of light ranch dressing (I was still hungry, so I threw in a juicy pear.)

Snack: I planned to have plain Greek yogurt with fruit or granola, but the bad day got the best of me.  I wanted comfort food (carbs), so I had a very hearty helping of Life cereal.

cerealDinner: side salad and polenta ratatouille (I know I’ve listed it in quite a few WIAW posts, but I love this meal.)

ratatouilleDessert: a lil’ ice cream (I hear it helps with hormones…)

  3. Mac N’ Cheese and Ice cream. I ate a gallon of ice cream and drank a gallon of milk by myself every week while I was pregnant. Loved it.

      I couldn’t remember the last time I had it either. I forgot how sweet it was, but it was on clearance at the grocery store. Winning!

  24. COMFORT CARBS <3. I've been Pms'y/bitchy all week and all I want to do is lay in bed and eat candy. What is it with women & sugar?! I resisted and ate clean all week, then last night before bed, I said F THIS and made myself a sunbutter & raspberry jam sandwich. 😀 And then I felt better!
    So yeah, I'd say nut butter/jam sandwiches are my fav comfort. Or a bowl of chicken soup! 😀
