It’s Okay If…

I haven’t done one of these posts in a while, but I think it’s about time for one. Why? Because why not.

  • I mainly want to visit Chicago and New York for the pizza.

  • I’m not running. Sometimes I feel I’m not pushing myself hard enough, but sometimes I wonder if I push it too hard.
  • I just bought TJ’s microwave-in-the-bag popcorn because I’m to lazy to get out my popcorn popper.

  • I’m embarrassed of my bump at the gym because I worry other ‘regulars’ just think I’ve gotten fat.
  • I really, like really, love my cats. Leia has been my shadow recently, and it’s too cute for words.

  • My hubby gains “sympathy weight.” Mr. No-Sweets had ice cream with me 3 nights in a row!
  • I never know what’s going on with celebrities. I need to know for work, but I just can’t make myself get into it.

Ain't Nobody Got Time

  • I’ve gotten the itch for a blog makeover, but I’m too cheap to actually pay for one.
  • I decided I need to be better about saving money, but I just ordered a really cute maternity dress from Asos.

  • What is your, “It’s okay if…” of the day?

  1. lol, I’ve been debating the blog makeover myself lately (actually, no, for the past 2 years!) but like you, I’m just too cheap. I would rather buy clothes πŸ™‚
As someone who is trying to get pregnant, I have the same workout debate. Should I stop running so much in order to maintain appropriate body fat? Or, am I just getting lazy and making excuses?? Ahhh!

  2. I switched to making instant coffee in the morning because I’m too lazy to clean up the coffee grinds in my French press πŸ˜‰ And NYC is definitely all about the food. Welllllll, and the shopping too. Also, I’m pretty sure no one at your gym is going to think you got fat, and if they do, who the heck cares since it’s not true. Be confident and rock that bump!!

  3. lindsay says:

LOL! good husband. Ice cream is great sympathy.

  4. I am ALL about the food!! I, too, think that eating pizza is an absolute MUST when visiting Chicago and NYC (both for totally different reasons/types). Heck, eating pizza EVERYWHERE is a must! πŸ˜‰

  5. Great post…travelling for food is a-ok in my book! As for me, it’s ok that I just rinse dishes out of the sink to use again before actually washing them. And I say rock that baby bump, let the folks think what they will!

  6. Lindsey says:

In NYC I never founds really great pizza πŸ™ But then again we stayed in Manhattan – probably the problem.
I am the exact same with running, I do not want to push myself right now but sometimes wonder if I could do more…
I also am a tad obsessed with my kitty, however mine is semi-evil πŸ˜‰
My husband has eaten more dessert than me lately! lol

  7. Jen says:

There’s NO way anyone thinks you’ve just gotten fat. I had the same fears at the gym too until someone said congrats at 13w!

    • Tiff says:

That’s awesome! I don’t really need to wear maternity stuff quite yet (except jeans), but I wore a maternity t-shirt to the gym today just to look more like preggo than dough ball. haha It’s the little things…

  8. Tamara says:

It’s all OK! Especially about the pizza (great reasons to visit both places!) and the kitties. We lost one of our two very unexpectedly and early in his life last month, and I miss him terribly. We’ve got to love them fiercely while we can!

  9. Nichole says:

    Haha, cute:)

Been a crazy week in the celeb world for sure. Just go to People or Perez. My guilty reading.

  10. I went to Chicago last November, and I insisted that we could not leave until I had Chicago deep dish. And the pizza was worth the trip πŸ˜‰ so good!

And I have trouble making myself care about celebrity stuff too. I’ll peruse if I’m really bored, but generally…not important.

  11. Haha I love the first and last ones! I always think about where I want to visit based on their food πŸ™‚ And I definitely say, I need to save money….while shopping online!

  12. Girl, you be PROUD of that bump! Soon enough they’ll realize what’s going on.

I never know what’s going on with celebrities either. I gave up a long time ago. πŸ˜‰

  13. I recently madeover my blog with Natasha from My Cute Lobster Designs – for less than a nice dinner out with a bottle of wine!

  14. These are great- i too would go to the ends of the earth for good pizza πŸ™‚ and there is no way anyone thinks your fat. just, no. my it’s ok today comes from the fact i was so hungry mid-morning that i knew a snack wasn’t going to do, so i had lunch before 11. ohh well.

  15. Nikki says:

Pizza is pretty much the best reason I’ve heard for a traveling time πŸ™‚ haha And I am sure the regulars will soon know once the bump gets bigger πŸ™‚

  16. It’s ok if I plan my trips around the beers. And if I plan my races around not interfering with fun events. πŸ˜‰

  17. Mmmm Chicago pizza is the BEST! (I’m totally biased. I live there.) However, it is definitely on the list of things everyone should do while visiting the city. I love travelling to new cities for the food. It’s all part of the fun!

  18. I nearly just busted out laughing at all of these, right here in the coffee shop where I’m posted in order to use internet (as my current living situation lacks that feature). I held it in, though, but barely. Probably because I can relate to so many of these…except the pregnancy bump, but I think that I would think that if I found myself in a similar state. πŸ™‚

It’s OK if I’m moving, and I not only continue to buy more clothing, I also have made no concerted attempt to reduce the BOXES of pantry food I’ve got sitting around the dining room.

  19. I think everyone at the gym is too busy worrying about themselves to worry about other people. At least that’s the case with me!

  20. It’s OK if I go to bed at 8 PM tonight πŸ™‚
