My Fruity WIAW

Hey!  How’s it going?  Things are pretty good here!  I’m in a much better mood this week than last week.  Perhaps it was just the extra dose of sunshine I got over the weekend.  Anywho… it’s time for another WIAW link up party.

Pre-Gym: rice cake and pb

Workout: leg day… whew.  Nuff said.

Breakfast: two eggs, onion, bell pepper, and an orange

Snack: Sometimes you crave chocolate at 9:30 pm, and sometimes it’s 9:30 am.  Today was the latter.  choc vitatop and a tease of pb

Lunch: green monster (frozen banana, 1/2 c frozen raspberries, 3 handfuls baby spinach, 1/2 c almond milk, Sunwarrior vanilla protein, and a splash of water to thin it out a bit)

Snack: alfresco cereal with almond milk

Dinner: this apple-spinach chicken recipe with quinoa (omahgershsogood)

Dessert: Sometimes you crave chocolate at night again too. teehee  a couple dark chocolate squares

  • How much fruit do you usually eat a day? (I’m usually 1-2 pieces, but obviously not yesterday!)

  1. I love pairing apple with chicken or pork!

    I usually eat 2-3 pieces of fruit per day. I’m pretty sure it’s my favourite food group!

  3. I definitely get hit with those 9:30 AM chocolate cravings… As for fruit, I love the stuff to pieces and I think it’s safe to say that I usually have around 4 or 5 servings of it a day.

    Same I usually have 1-2 servings of Fruit, but lately I haven’t been getting it in as frequently :( But that’s because it’s end of semester and I ran out of bananas!

  6. Boy, I eat a LOT of fruit. Three servings a day, for sure. Sometimes four. :)

  7. Chocolate cravings happen all the time for me! Sometimes even earlier than 9:30am! I’d say I eat at least three servings of fruit a day. Well, at least the days I have a smoothie which is most days. On top of my smoothie I usually have an apple or another banana during the day. During the summer I eat a lot more fruit since it’s more widely available. Love fresh summertime fruit!

  8. Ohhh yum on the apple, spinach, chicken combo! I usually am a 2-4 servings fruit gal, much more in the Summer when it’s warmer! And chocolate all the time is a win in my book :)

    I have been craving chocolate every morning when I wake up…I’ve been making excuses to throw them into everything lately! Yogurt, pancakes, random handfuls here and there…

  10. I tend to have a bunch of half-cut pieces of fruit in the fridge. I don’t know how many total pieces I eat because I usually crave so many types I just eat a little bit of a bunch at once. :)

  11. I’m definitely a fruit lover, but I try to balance it out with veggies too….I probably eat 2-3 servings a day and (unless I have one of my MASSIVE salads) about 4-5 servings of veggies! That chicken dish sounds delicious! I love pairing fruit with meat!
