Just in case you were wondering, my lasagna brings all the boys to the yard. Milkshakes? Not so much. Lasagna? Heck yeah!
Bring in the Boys
They say the fastest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. If that’s true, then Kevin’s 100% smitten. (recipe coming soon-ish)
The Money Shot
His birthday is this week, so on Friday I made him food presents. We had another couple over for dinner, wine and dessert. Ooooooh the dessert!
Come to Mama!
More on that tomorrow…
Saturday was pretty chill. We did a little shopping and a little boating.
We only have so many more weekends of boating season, so we’re trying to make the most of it. I must say, I’m impressed with our efforts. On the other hand, I’m not so impressed with our walk streak. Daily afternoon/evening thunderstorms put a damper on that. (no pun intended)
We tried to get a walk in yesterday (you know, to burn off the lasagna and dessert), but my legs had at itchy flare-up. After doing lots of my own research, I believe it’s called exercise-induced anaphylaxis. It doesn’t happen often, but it’s soooooo frustrating (and painful)!
Oh well, I’m going for a quick run this morning, so hopefully it won’t happen again today.
- I prefer homemade lasagna to restaurants; what do you prefer to eat at home?
- Anyone else have the itchy-leg thing? (hopefully not!)

I get itchy legs when I run outside in the cold weather (mainly when I go from hot to cold conditions). IT DOES hurt and burn! Yuck.
Great looking lasagna. I always prefer homemade.

Your lasagna looks fabulous! I prefer homemade over restaurant lasagna too. Also, I almost always prefer homemade stir fries!

One of my friends has that exercise thing, and she has to have an epi-pen as hers is quite serious. So be careful.
I think pasta is nicer at home too- often it is so oily from a restaurant.

I think that I would want ANY pasta dish to be homemade. I’m not even sure why, but I have never even gone to a restaurant and ordered a pasta/italian dish.
That dessert looks amazing.

Always homemade. I don’t know if I’ve ever actually ordered it at a restaurant? For some reason, I rarely order pasta at restaurants because it’s something I can easily make myself… weird, I know.

Love those dishes the dessert is served in. Too cute! I’m excited to see this recipe. Please tell me it is fat free, sugar free, and contains a measly 20 calories a serving??

Hahaha, I think Mama Smart would feel the same way about HER lasagna. I haven’t made any in SO long, but there was a vegetarian lasagna I adapted from Paula Deen (of all people) a few summers back that was AWESOME. I just saw a recipe today that used quinoa and sliced zucchini that also sounded pretty darn amazing…

I’m still laughing at the title.

I will admit that lasagna looks pretty damn good

Ha, the title is awesome BECAUSE i went to this place today and they actually played this song, and I thought to myself “wow, I haven’t heard this song in AGES” and then there you go, using it in a title! haha do you work at that radio station or something?
