Here’s a mini post that I’m actually writing from my phone. Even when you self-host your blog, you can use the WordPress app for iPhone. It’s not so user-friendly, but I wanted to share these with you. Trust me – you’ll appreciate these three songs of Saturday.
“Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae: It’s a little cutesy for my taste, but it has a beat. I actually just like it because I love all the business cards floating around that play on this song. They’re hilarious. Seriously – do an Internet search for them.
I played the song for Kevin the other night so that I could show him the business cards, and all he could say is, “What happened to the days when men pursued the women?” Oh my goodness… I pray for our daughter should we have a girl.
Moving on…
“I’m Going to Miss Her” by Brad Paisley: Listen to the words, and you’ll understand. Brad mentions sitting on a lake shore, which is perfect for this long weekend. Plus, it’s another good laugh.
Lastly…
“Lights” by Ellie G?: This is my party song for the weekend. It makes me want to dance. I’m going to humor Dane Cook here by fueling his stereotype.
In Dane’s words: “Women go there to dance. They get all ready in the mirror with their friends. They’re like, ‘I just need to go. I just need to dance. I’m serious, tonight — no guys. Screw guys. I just need to — I’ve had a rough week, and I just need to dance it out. I just want to stand in a circle around our pocketbooks and shoes and just — I just want to dance. Dance!’ You will never, ever hear a guy say to one of his buddies, ‘Mike — Mike, Mike, listen, buddy. Tonight, bro, I gotta dance, dude. Screw chicks tonight, bro — I gotta dance!’”
Ha. So true.
Have a good (and safe) weekend!
