Thursday I gave into the most offensive cookie on the planet, and trust me, every bite was soooooo worth it. Seriously, this cookie had nuts, wheat, soy, eggs, and milk…. oh, and 310 calories. (That means it’s extra yummy.)

Friday, I gave into temptation again. (It’s a good thing I wasn’t in the Garden of Eden.) I am a recovering Coke addict. I used to drink Diet Coke daily, but I’ve seriously cut back. Now I rarely have soda, and I find that I only want one when I feel too warm for coffee. (Not sure why my office is so stingy with the AC this week.)

I plan on giving into temptation again today. After all, Saturday is usually a cheat day for me, and it’s Cinco de Mayo. Woohoo! Cheese dip is totally in my future, or at least I hope it is.
Here’s a mini story on cheese dip. Kev and I used to frequent a Mexican place in college with phenomenal (though very basic) cheese dip. (On a side note, they also had 32 oz Dos Equis Amber for $2.50 at happy hour – score!)
Not that I would ever drink a beer in college…
One day he finally realized the cheese tasted familiar. He said it was Land of Lakes White American cheese. (Is this kid nuts? American cheese in a Mexican restaurant???) He said he remembers the taste from the sandwiches his mom made him as a kid.
Seeing how we’re both competitive and stubborn as mules, we ask the waiter what type of cheese is in the dip. Sure enough, the waiter came back with a box of this.

Kevin was that year’s Cinco de Mayo Mexican. He totally won that battle. I hope everyone has a good weekend!

and if you send this on to Land of Lakes you may wind up with a case of American cheese at your doorstep. I’m just so proud of my son!
