Well that was a very snackalicious Tuesday. I have been good about only eating when I’m hungry, but dang have I been huuuungry! I’m not sure if it’s the running, the stress, the drop in protein, or a combination thereof, but my belly wants food, food, and quite a bit more food. Here were the eats from yesterday…
First Breakfast = rice cake, Second Breakfast = gala apple on wheat English muffin with 1 TBS pb
First Snack = 10 almonds (not pictured)
Lunch = salad (romaine, sunflower seeds, broccoli, onion, bell pepper, lite Asian dressing) and butternut squash soup
Second Snack = Eat.Think.Smile bar and a banana an hour or two later
Dinner = quinoa, steamed cauliflower + broccoli, baked tofu, 2 TBS soy sauce
Third + Fourth Snack = pumpernickle pretzels while cooking and some ginger thins with my decaf spice tea (amazing combo)
Wow. Told ya that was a lot of food. It sure was delicious though! Be sure to check out Peas & Crayons for other awesome eats.

I really like to eat dark chocolate after dinner. It is just enough sweetness to satisfy me, but rich enough that I don’t want to eat a whole bar of it. Or kombucha, always kombucha.

My after dinner snacks are normally chocolate covered pretzels, cereal, or hot chocolate.

I’ve been super hungry lately too! I blame it on weight training.
I almost always have Greek yogurt and granola after dinner – it’s the only thing filling enough to keep me full all night long until breakfast!

Happy WIAW! Tasty looking eats

Yum! I need to make an apple pb sandwich! My post dinner snack lately has been chickpea cookies, soooo good!

Apple pb sandwiches are so yummy! My after dinner snack is usually cottage cheese with pb or yogurt with pb– both tend to put me out like a light before bed.
February 8, 2012 at 8:15 am
Ooo yum, I’ve never considered making a peanut butter and apple sandwich. That looks tasty! Generally after dinner I eat oatmeal, cereal, or something like yogurt and granola

Your eats look yummy! Especially those ginger cookies. After dinner snacks would be a small smoothie, fruit, or a piece of bread w/ PB.

I really try to limit after dinner snacking because I tend to go way overboard but if I do I like to ensure that I get some protein in there to help repair my muscles while I sleep

looks like some tasty eats!
after dinner i usually have a rice cake with nut butter or a mug of cereal or sometimes a small bowl of ice cream. lately i’ve been enjoying a vitatop with nut butter on top, but those won’t last for long.
February 9, 2012 at 7:56 am
I’ve got some vitatops in my freezer now too, and they’re going pretty quickly!

I don’t always do after-dinner snacks, but my favorite recently is PB Smore’s – with vegan marshmallows, graham crackers, peanut butter, & chocolate chips.
February 8, 2012 at 2:09 pm
Doesn’t even look like a lot of food, just looks like a great day of balanced/well-timed eats! And oh, I’m so obsessed with those pumpernickel pretzel sticks. They are amazing dunked in guacamole. Justin sayin’.
February 9, 2012 at 7:55 am
I’d thought of mustard and peanut butter (though not together), but guacamole sounds yummy too.

Omg I cannot stop eating. But I really need to tone it down, either that or buy a lot of carrots to snack on.
I don’t snack after dinner, mainly because we eat dinner so late. Well.. does beer count?

Afternoons and evening are my snackiest times of the day. Hummus and pita chips and fruit are my go-to snacks. Oh, and chocolate.
