Thursday Things

Happy Friday Eve! This has been one heck of a week. I’m exhausted! Who else is ready for the weekend? I know, I know… silly question.

I’ve been hitting the gym more frequently, at least a bit, and I must say, my Apera bag has come in handy. I reviewed it a while back, and now that I’ve used it more, I can say that I still really like it.

aperaYesterday’s workout wasn’t too crazy. I managed three treadmill miles for National Run Day followed by a wee bit of abdominal work while Ethan played in the childcare area. He always has fun there.

lunchI did a bit of food prep yesterday too. I planned to do this on Monday, but E wasn’t having it. Same for Tuesday. Well yesterday, he just had to chill out and fuss a bit while I cooked myself lunch. Life’s tough kiddo. Lunch = quinoa, kale, tomato, pinto beans, and Indian inspired spice

dinnerDinner was a bit easier to cook. I <3 Sausages! So easy, so delicious.

I also wanted to share just a bit about Charlotte bloggers. There’s a lot going on in these parts! Jen’s little Hadley justturned 7 weeks old. Erin’s Addison is almost two months old. Brittany’s sweet Kaitlyn will be 3 weeks old this week. Caitlin recently announced a little bun in the oven. Jennifer’s event company is hosting another Shop Charlotte tour. And Julie is moving to Charlotte very soon! Goodness, what else did I miss???

Okay, it’s time to get back to my day. Time to start counting the minutes until Kevin gets home. :)

  1. Your quinoa and kale mix looks really great! Makes me want to get back in the kitchen! And I’m with you girl- sometimes you just have to let the little ones fuss a little so you can get something done. :)

  2. I am also so exhausted!!! And I use my apera bag like every day. I love it!

  3. There are a lot of Charlotte bloggers! I never realized you were all from there. Crazy.
Yup, some days they just have to fuss, we have had a couple fussy days over here.
I did not run yesterday, still recovering from my half marathon Sunday, I am going to try and do 6 miles tomorrow.

  7. Oh man! I did not know that yesterday was National Run Day. I tried to beat my mile time today: I did by 15 seconds! My goal is to get it down to 6 minutes flat. Tomorrow I plan to do 2 miles kind of easy. But I missed National Run Day. Bummer! Haha, oh well, my legs don’t know the difference anyway. I adore the name of your blog. It made me smile.
