Hey June

Hey June! Where’d you come from??? It actually feels a lot like June here, mainly on account of the heat. However, I can’t believe my little man is going to be 8 months old this week. It’s not that time flies, but, oh I dunno, it just still seems crazy to me.

So let’s welcome June with a little weekend recap, shall we? Thinking back makes my Monday Marvelous (#MIMM).

MIMMFriday wasn’t particularly exciting. Kevin met Ethan and I out at Mellow Mushroom for happy hour, but we headed home for a quick n’ easy tortellini dinner.

On Saturday some friends dropped in for brunch. A few folks had to cancel, but we still had a good time. More mimosas for me! I made blueberry banana muffins, this breakfast casserole, this frittata, and served with fruit.

brunchAfter visiting with neighbors later that afternoon, Kevin and I enjoyed the leftovers for dinner with a bloody mary. Brunchinner?

Sunday wasn’t exactly Sunday Funday; better luck next week. Ethan was a beast, and Kevin was busy with homework all day.

sundayAt least I squeezed in a run… and still took advantage of close grocery store parking. (It sounds contradictory, but I can’t be the only person who does that!) We also had a pretty awesome dinner of kale and goat cheese stuffed chicken rolls, baked not fried. Perhaps I’ll make it again soon and actually write down measurements for a recipe.

  • How was your weekend?
  • Bloody mary or mimosa?

My weekend was great, I had a wonderful time in Florida, and one of my athletes qualified for NCAAs šŸ™‚ That dinner looks fantastic! Can you believe it is june already? CRAZY!

  2. 8 months! Seriously, where is the time going? Tate is already 4 months! Nice job on your 3 miler! Oh girl, I use that baby parking like a champ and I get super angry (not really, but kind of) when I see someone without a baby pulling up there. Do they not know how heavy carseats get?! šŸ˜›

  3. Brunch looks so cute!!! YUM!

  4. Is it sad that I can’t really remember what I did this weekend? And NOT because I was intoxicated, but because apparently I’m just getting old? šŸ˜† Let’s see… I worked, met up with friends, went to the movies, and went over to my folks’ for dinner. Bout sums it up!

  5. Bloody mary…always bloody mary! Well in Canada we have caesars which are made with clamato juice instead of tomato juice and it only takes it up a notch!

  6. Intrigued by that stuffed chicken! And I can’t do Bloody Mary’s (ughh….tomato juice) but I will happily take a mimosa!

  7. I can’t believe it’s already June! May totally flew by! Your brunch sounds amazing! Brunches are so much fun and a nice change!
