Wow. Just wow. Yesterday was long and downright awful. Today has to be better! Let’s just say there was a lot of baby (and mommy) crying, phone calls to dr/pharmacy/insurance, and stress. Everything is more or less okay (no big worries), but having a colicky/heartburn baby isn’t easy… not that anyone said it would be.
As much as I don’t want to admit it, it takes a village to raise a child. I’m a “do it myself” kinda’ gal, so asking for help sucks. However, it still doesn’t suck as much as not getting help with you need it. A lovely walk in the park with a friend got my through my morning, and having my dad help with Ethan at night and order take-out was a blessing. (Kevin was traveling for work, and clearly the timing of his trip wasn’t wonderful.)
But enough whining and complaining, here is What I Ate Wednesday… except for the extra-dark chocolate I had that went unpictured. Stress = Chocolate, am I right??? ha
Breakfast – oats with Barlean’s fish oil, MRM whey protein, and blackberries
Snack – almond butter on salt-free rice cake
Lunch – turkey taco salad (I prepped turkey and veggies Sunday.)
Snack – Greek yogurt and 1/3 cup Kashi Crisp cereal
Dinner – steamed chicken and mixed veggies over rice and doused in soy sauce
Thank goodness for take-out!!!
