Coffee Date

You know what I would like?  I’d like to have coffee with each of my readers.  You know, just a nice little coffee date at a quaint little shop… or Starbucks.  Whatever – I’m not all that choosey when it comes to caffeine.  Of course, bonus points if the place served drinks like this:

But as I said, these days I just need caffeine… period.

I’m currently drinking this.  And no, I do not recommend it.  Target had the gingerbread flavor on sale after Christmas, and now I know why they had so many left.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that this mama needs to get outta’ the house more.

I’d also tell you that Ethan’s 4-month checkup went well yesterday.  He is in the 13th percentile for weight and the 40th percentile for length.  Despite his preemie-ness, the doc says he’s growing well.  Yay!

I’d also probably complain a little that he woke up twice last night.  Just recently he shifted into only one get-up per night, so I’ve been spoiled.  I expect his one get-up per night to drop off once I start giving him some oatmeal cereal, which I just ordered on but don’t expect to give him for about a month.

oatsI might also tell you that I’m not bummed NFL football is over, but I’m already ready for college.  As a side note, I’m not going to be bummed when winter is over either, and I’m ready for spring.  Yesterday was another warm and sunny one, and I am SO ready for more walks and porch sittin’!

  • What would you tell me if we were having coffee?
  • What’s your coffeehouse go-to?  I’m a cappuccino girl normally.

  1. My coffee tastes have “evolved” over the last few months. Ever since we got back from our honeymoon in Italy, I can drink much drier wine and coffee. I used to love flavored coffee and mochas and now it’s all dark roast and cappuccino. I accidentally bought some flavored this weekend, and now I’m disappointed every morning I walk over to the coffee machine. 🙁

  2. I would tell you that I, too, am ready for warm weather. We had a tease here in Baltimore over the weekend and it was SO nice to get outside! As for my coffee house ‘go to’, I’m a mocha gal all the way. Something about that chocolatey taste gets me every time 🙂

  3. I just miss sunday football because the running store would be less busy. Now I have a feeling we will be getting slammed!

  4. I love, love, love, winter but your mention of walks and porch sitting make me long for Spring! While I like flavored coffee every once in awhile, my old favorite is just a good light breakfast blend with a splash of cream.

  5. If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’m not really feeling the flavoured coffee anymore. I used to really like it, but the past couple of times I brewed it, all I could think about was how much I’d prefer having something that was just straight up black and bold. Crazy evolving tastes…

  6. I am a latte girl 🙂
I would tell you I want warmer temps, it is freezing here!

  7. I’m a plain latte girl at a coffee shop. At home/work I stick to french press w/ a little steamed milk.

I am also NFL football. I’ll be glad to not have any sports going on in our house for a while. 😉

  8. Yay, so glad Ethan’s check-up went well. If we were having a coffee date, I’d tell you that I’m so sick of winter. I just want spring to come! We have a foot of snow yesterday, are expecting more tonight and supposedly a massive storm is coming this weekend. Ugh!

  9. I am a ‘pass-on-the-coffee-and-take-the-tea’ sort of girl 😉 One of these days, maybe I’ll actually like coffee…

  10. If we had coffee, I’d say let’s walk in the sunshine, sip our caffeine and enjoy it because spring is still a long time away!

  11. I’m a weirdo and don’t drink coffee (or tea for that matter). For some reason I’m not a hot beverage fan, even in cold weather…

  12. Nikki says:

aweee i loved the gingerbread flavor! haha

  13. That Gingerbread coffee is TERRIBLE. I was so excited for it and couldn’t even finish the box…..and I have to really hate something to throw it away. Their pumpkin spice flavor on the other hand is really good!

  14. I’m a hot tea girl. Love the smell of coffee, but the taste just never worked for me…without lots of sugar 🙂 Hmm what would I tell you, first the baby too cute…then I’d say I’m thinking about apply for full time jobs and that scares the heck out of me!

  15. Ramana Hannigan says:

If you come to Ga I can have coffee with you! I’m more a frappaccino girl!

    • Tiff says:

I’m down for a frappaccino! I’m planning on coming down to ATL, but sadly the trip isn’t until fall. Womp Womp. I’ll call ya then or if it happens sooner than later.
