Popping In

Hellooooooo!  It has been waaaaay too long since I’ve popped in.  The thing is, Little Man keeps me on my toes.  The poor fella is a colicky baby who dislikes naps, which makes for a very busy mommy.  Hey, at least I’m getting my exercise walking laps around my house bouncing and singing to him all day, eh?

It’s a good thing he’s just so stinkin’ cute.  Who could be mad at that face?

Speaking of exercise though, I’ve started P90X.  Ethan’s hatred of naps keeps me from getting to and from the gym, even with gym daycare, so I borrowed a neighbor’s DVD set.  It’s not my preferred workout by any means, but something is better than nothing!

A healthy diet is trying to make a comeback.  I’m cooking a little more, and we’re still striving for veggies.  I whipped up a pretty awesome white chicken chili the other night, but since I’ve been MIA as a blogger, I didn’t write down the ingredients.  Doh!  It’s okay, I think I can recreate it, which I hope to do before it starts getting warm outside.

Speaking of the weather, (okay, this really isn’t a smooth transition at all, but work with me) I hope you’re enjoying these winter pics.  I know Christmas photos are a bit dated, but they were too adorable not to share.  (sorry, proud mama here)

I hope all is well with all my readers.  I’ve been staying active on Instagram and Twitter, so I know what some of you have been up to.  Of course, I’m also reading your blog posts here and there, but you’ll have to forgive me for not commenting.  I’m usually reading from my phone.

Anywhoooo, I hope to check back in soon, so don’t go too far!

  1. So glad to hear that all is well Tiff! It totally stinks that your Little Man is colicky and not a napper; although, he’s pretty darn cute! I’ve never tried P90X, but it looks like a great workout. Happy Monday!

  2. I’m so sorry the little man is colicky and hates sleep! Been there, girl. The first 9 months of Wyatt’s life were the hardest of my life. Plus, I felt like a huge failure because everyone else’s babies seemed so much easier than mine. I promise this will pass and one day, he’ll be a happy toddler who likes sleeping and you’ll *almost* forget how tough the first few months were. In the meantime, please let me know if you need anything or even want to vent. It’s so, so hard. He is a cutie though!

  3. I can’t function without sleep (it’s going to be a rude awakening in a couple months with baby #2!), so hugs to you for not only hanging in there, but exercising AND cooking, too. Sup-ah momma. Hope we find a time that works for all of us to meet up soon. It’s so tough with little ones!

  4. I’m actually glad you’re taking the time you need to spend with your little man – although I wish you had a little more “you” time too. 🙂

  5. Happy to see a post from you! SUCH cute Christmas photos! Thanks for sharing.

  6. Ashley says:

Yay! So good to hear from you! Glad to hear all is going well. Ethan is getting so big – such a cutie!

  7. What a cutie! Mine is not much of a napper either – I just keep telling myself that this phase doesn’t last forever 🙂

  8. Keep the pics coming! Such a cutie. Glad you’re finding time to cook 🙂

  9. Great to see a little update, Tiff!! The babe is such a cutie!! You seem like you have a great attitude about this small, but exhausting portion of baby-hood (colic-y, needing to be bounced/walked, disliking naps)….just a mom of 2 here to let you know that this too shall pass!!!! Keep up the good work and attitude, mama!!!
And I actually do a lot of my workouts at-home and they’re very effective!! 🙂

  10. Never apologize for showing pictures of that little guy — he’s such a cutie! I was a colicky baby as well, and my mom is always telling me how difficult I was. Hang in there, mama!

  11. Girl, he is so stinkin’ cute!! You just spend as much time with that little angel as you can. My son is down to one nap a day and it is totally cramping my style.. 😉 Have a great week!

  12. Your little guy is so adorable! I remember those early weeks like it was yesterday and it’s definitely going to be a reality check when baby #2 arrives in a month or less!

Hang in there; it will all pass soon and you will find more time for working out, cooking and having some time for yourself!

  13. Wow…cutie alert! SO adorable!!

    xoxo from Trinidad
