Y’all Know What Time It Is

It’s time for another WIAW post – woohoo!  Thanks Jenn for hosting.  Did you know there were 148 linkups to the party last week?  Geeze!  Lots of fun eats to check out, eh?

Breakfast: vanilla whey protein oats with half a pear and some cinnamon

Lunch: quinoa, broccoli, cauliflower, and chickpeas topped with soy sauce

Snack: hunk of pumpkin gingerbread & decaf pumpkin spice tea

Dinner: my favorite rice pilaf (pecans, wild rice, dried fruit, celery, onion, etc.) and broccoli (Yesterday it was paired with green beans, so excuse the photo.)

Dessert: 1 Lindtt truffle and a hot chocolate from my new Keurig (thanks Mom)

Tuesday wasn’t much better than Monday from a nap standpoint.  Ethan must just be going through a phase (I hope) because this kid hates naps at the moment.

You know what I hate at the moment?  My gym.  I tried to bring my cheerleader in with me again, but they said I’m not allowed to do that.  Since I’m not ready to leave him at the nursery yet (mainly just because of germs), I turned around and left.  I still got a 2.5-mile walk and 3 sets of pushups in at home though before he woke up super hungry.

  • Mamas, when did you start leaving your kiddo at the gym nursery?
  • Hot chocolate or hot cider?  Both!

  1. That’s frustrating to get to the gym and then have to leave! I’m not sure at what age my gym takes kids, some of them look really young. I will soon find out:)

  2. That sucks about the gym, but at least you still managed to get a good walk in. And is that the corner piece of the pumpkin gingerbread? Best! It’s been a couple of days since I’ve had any gingerbread in my life. Need to change that.

  3. Everything looks great…Especially the gingerbread! Have a great day!

  4. Aw, that’s too bad they won’t let you bring him with you! I hope he gets better with naps soon! And how much are you loving your Keurig?? I just used mine for a perfect cup of cinnamon coffee 🙂

I love how you said hunk of pumpkin bread. He’s such a cutie!

  6. Shannon says:

I think a lot of gyms require the child to be 6 months of age or older :(. We’re running into the same issue! Good luck!

  7. HoCho for the win! Especially with a little cinnamon and cayenne pepper for a kick 😉

  8. That sucks about the gym – at least you were able to get a nice walk in though!
And I’m all about the hot chocolate, for sure.

  9. I never really felt comfortable leaving my little guy at the gym nursery – and now he’s almost 2! lol
I ended up stopping my membership while he was little. I started my new routine….and even now, I work out in the house when he naps, I take him for runs or walks in the stroller, or I workout or run (at Orange Theory or at our community gym) when my husband is home. There are so many options though don’t be discouraged – although I know it’s annoying! 🙂

  10. Ahhh there’s nothing worse than getting to the gym (half the battle is just convincing yourself to get there!!) just to turn around! You have such an awesome attitude about it though!
