Hi, and welcome to the Turkey I Ate Wednesday (WIAT).  Let me just start off by saying, I love leftover turkey!  I’m thrilled to have Thanksgiving leftovers.  That’s the payment you get for hosting!  Speaking of hosting, thanks Jenn for hosting another WIAW party.

wiawBreakfast: ThinkThin, coffee, and Bolthouse Farms pumpkin spice latte (which did not taste good in my coffee – just FYI)

December 043Lunch: salad with dried cherries, cranberries, white mushrooms, balsamic vinaigrette, and of course, turkey!

December 065Snack: unpictured Stonyfield vanilla Greek yogurt and a handful of blueberries

December 062Dinner: turkey and wild rice soup

December 039Dessert: a slice of that chocolate chip banana bread you see behind the turkey soup – yum!

  1. Your little man is just gorgeous!

I am crazy about leftovers, but I would be way too intimidated to cook a turkey dinner for any more than 4 people haha!

  2. I definitely love leftovers – for my extended family gatherings my parents host Easter, so I always end up stealing leftovers to take home 😉 Turkey leftovers are definitely perfect in soup – great choice!

  3. I finished my Thanksgiving leftovers yesterday! 🙁 I want more!!! I just bought one of those ThinkThin bars. I’m going to try it today. So excited! It looks soooo good!

  5. I love leftover turkey and cranberry sandwiches but the rest I could pass on!

  6. Honestly, I think I like Thanksgiving leftovers more than Thanksgiving dinner itself. There’s just something about enjoying cold turkey, cranberry sauce, and roasted veggies that makes my stomach swoon. I wonder if I could cook dinner the day before Thanksgiving and just serve leftovers for Thanksgiving dinner instead 😆

Well since my Mom cooks the Thanksgiving meal, I typically don’t get the leftovers and I’m not a huge Thanksgiving food lover on top of that so I can take or leave them. They do make things easier though for the next week which is never a bad thing!

  8. Leftovers are basically my reason for existing haha. Currently living off of turkey soup!

  9. I’m not a big fan of turkey, but I do love turkey wild rice soup! My favorite thanksgiving leftovers are the stuffing and jello.
