Thanks for all the well wishes on yesterday’s bumpdate. To be honest, I think I totally bombed that interview. Ugh – fail. It’s okay though. Like I said, the timing isn’t ideal anyway, so I’m sure there will be other opportunities in the future if this one doesn’t work.
Anywhoooo… onto blog stuff…
Let me start off by saying that I’m not a crafty gal. They’re fun and all, but crafts just aren’t really my thing.
Anything I could craft is probably made cheaper, better, and faster by someone else with an automated process or the machinery to do so. Buying things from the store isn’t as unique, but it’s pretty darn efficient.
If you couldn’t tell already, the first craft is a black and white crib mobile for Baby E. Black and white geometric shapes are great for newborns who focus on contrast. It’s okay if you don’t sew or cut straight lines; your little bundle of joy won’t notice.
The thread was a dollar, and I didn’t come close to using it all. Felt squares (2 white and 1 black) cost me 30 cents each, and the string was probably a couple bucks. I tied these onto the base of the other mobile I had already purchased.
Since the felt was so cheap, I didn’t stop there. I made Baby E’s first Thanksgiving onesie!
