I hope you all are enjoying a marvelous Monday. I’ve decided to link up with Katie to show you what’s Marvelous In My Monday, and it’s really all about the lil’ man!
Tired + Hungry = Me. After a dual trip to Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us Friday, I was truly exhausted. On Saturday, I even took a 1.5-hour nap. I’m not complaining; growing a little human is hard work.
Baby’s size? About 4 lbs and longer than 17 inches (I totally think he had a growth spurt this week due to how much of my calories and energy he has demanded.)
Total Weight Gain: According to the doc, 18 lbs., but I go by my gym scale that I was accustomed to using pre-preg. According to me, about 23 lbs.
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Sleep wasn’t great, but it was better than the week before.
Best moment this week: Dinner with friends on Saturday night
Miss Anything? Feeling sexy. TMI? Sorry, but it’s true. There’s nothing like having your hubby say you look alien to make you want to hide under a blanket. Oh, and wearing the same clothes day-in and day-out doesn’t help either.
Movement: Yup, and it’s really cool on the couch at night when he snuggles up with me. He presses his body so close to my belly that you can almost cradle him with your arm. You can often feel his feet, butt, and head at the same time.
Food cravings: Carbs, carbs, and more carbs. I’m trying to eat my veggies, but I don’t want them at all. Just gimme’ bread, cereal, and pasta! I’m sure those dipping energy levels are partially to blame.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Hunger. I got hungry all of a sudden at the grocery store and felt nauseous, which lead to an impulse muffin purchase. Doh! I ate it in the car before I even got home.
Labor Signs: Nope
Symptoms: A little lower back pain (though that awful upper back pain is mostly gone), lethargy, pelvic pain, frequent bathroom trips, chloasma (skin pigmentation), and a bit of foot/lower-leg swelling
Belly Button in or out? Flat… mostly
Wedding rings on or off? Still on
Happy or moody most of the time: Super happy, though kinda lonely during the day – I think my hormones were more crazy on bc pills than they have been during pregnancy
Looking forward to: Out of town guests visiting this weekend
Remember that post I did about things I didn’t know until I was pregnant? Well here’s another one. Don’t expect to pick out many of your own baby clothes. I know, I know – total bummer.
We’re happy for gifts and hand-me-downs, so Kevin and I aren’t complaining. However, just expect to spend your own money on diapers, bottles, wipes, and baby medicine/thermometers/necessities instead.
