Happy #IPAday

Happy IPA Day!  I know there are some hopheads out there who will be celebrating.  Be sure to have one for me!

My prego self obviously won’t be indulging in any India pale ales (womp womp), but here’s a brief list of a few I would be drinking.  These may or may not be my favorite IPAs, but these are tried-and-true.  I recommend each and every one of ’em!

Even though I’m not drinking any beers, I at least enjoyed a beer-worthy dinner last night.

sausageGotta’ love Trader Joe’s natural chicken sausages!  For more info on IPA day, check out this post on The Beer Wench.  If you’re celebrating, be sure to check in on Untappd and use the Twitter hashtag #IPAday.

  1. I’m not a beer fan (Horrors! I know!) but my hubs loves (and brews) beer. He will be happy to learn that today is National IPA Day. 🙂

  2. A true meat and potatoes meal! Looks delicious. 🙂

  3. I love Rush River’s Bubble Jack. And for DIPA, go with the Double Bubble! Bell’s Hopslam has amped up hops. Stone makes a great IPA, too. But I have to tip my hat to a local MN brew, the Surly Furious.

    Happy IPA day.

  4. i hate to say it, but i’m not a huge IPA fan. too hoppy for me personally, but my boyfriend is an equal opportunity beer drinker so he’ll be psyched to hear its IPA day. and heck, IPA day only comes once a year, who am i not to raise a glass? 🙂

  5. I’m not really an IPA fan, but my hubby is. Like Charlotte, I think they’re too hoppy for me, sort of bitter.

  6. Unfortunately, I’m not a beer fan at all…it’s an acquired taste that I just have not acquired yet! But I am a fan of your dinner though, looks delicious 😉

  7. I’m not the bigger beer fan, maybe I could celebrate with wine 🙂

  8. Lately I’ve been enjoying Hop Notch. It’s a great, well balanced IPA. I’ll tip one back for you, my friend!

Aw man, too bad I’m not a huge beer fan…actually I hate it ha. Can I take some vodka instead 😉 I like that much better. That or white wine is my go to drink.

  10. I’m not an IPA girl, something about hop in beer that I don’t like. I love stouts and porters, definitely hit the spot for me.

A few of my friends really like Dogfish Head 60 or 90 minute IPA, and Southern Tier 2X IPA.

  11. I’m not a beer lover, but my husband is. He is currently enjoying Omission since it’s gluten free. 🙂

  12. IPA’s are the only beers I love – too bad they don’t even know what that means here in Trinidad!! 🙁

    xoxo from Trinidad

Yor baby gift came out adorable…. but I’m partial since I made it.. lol 😉

  13. Ooo that meal looks delish. My favorite is (and will always be – at least for the foreseeable future until one of my bloggy friends who can get Pliny sends me a bottle or 3) Harpoon Leviathan Imperial IPA – it’s so stinkin’ good. Thanks for linking up!

  14. I love IPAs. I think it is San Diego Brewing that has Levitation IPA. I have a fridge full of a variety og IPAs with a few summer brews for guests.

  15. Yes! Founders is an amazing IPA. Another favorite is Lagunitas Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’. It’s one of my go-to beers.

When Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ first came out, I was on such a hunt to find it. I called bottle shops all over the city. haha Totally worth it though – great beer!

Shhhh…I don’t like IPAs! I know, shame on me. But I do love a good amber. Your TJ’s meal looks great.
