Is it ice-cream o’clock yet?

Happy What I Ate Wednesday, Y’all!  Thanks Jenn for hosting another blogger eats n’ treats linkup!

I was seriously dragging yesterday.  I got my workout in before work, but I was struggling to keep my eyes open all friggin’ day.  My body let me know just how tired I was when round ligament pain flared up during an after-dinner walk with Kevin.  Ugh!  As soon as we got back to the house, I was threw on my pajamas and just counted the minutes until ice-cream o’clock, which happens to be around 8 pm.

I promise I didn’t just eat ice cream though!

Pre-workout: brown rice cake

Post-workout: Kashi GoLean Crunch, unsweetened almond milk, grapefruit (plus prenatal vitamins with DHA)

Snack: chia bar

Lunch: Flatout pizza with side salad

Snack: two lemon blueberry muffins, made with Chobani lemon Greek yogurt (I updated my recipe for these.)

muffins     berry

Snack: cherries! and a few crackers (My Harry & David fruit of the month was delivered today, and I couldn’t wait to dig into these babies.  cherries = love)

Dinner: tofu stir-fry with quinoa

curry tofu

Dessert: all-natural cookie dough ice cream (The ingredients are “natural” enough, but they’re still super processed.  Either way, they also happen to be super delicious.)

** it didn’t last long enough for a picture**

  • Ever made a Flatout pizza?  This was my first.
  • Thoughts on “all-natural” packaging?

Love making flatout pizza. Funny you asked, because it’s actually what we’ll be having for dinner this evening :)

  2. Hehe I had fro-yo last night, so I was craving something cold and sweet, too ;)

  3. Perfect season for blueberry muffins! So fresh right now!

I have not, not sure we have those wraps/flat bread here but it sure looks good!
I think all natural is tricky, sometimes like you said it still seems very processed and then just has a premium price on it.
I have never been a huge ice cream person (maybe with cookies or brownies…lol) but seems that baby does not like ice cream (or yogurt) at all and every time I eat I get sick.
I have days like that too right now, no matter what I am just dead tired all day. Hope you have a better day today!

Oh no! I’m so glad my little man loves ice cream as much as I do. I imagine him doing a little dance each time I eat it. haha

I think I need to incorporate ice cream o clock into my daily routine!

  6. I am in love with fresh cherries!! Sooo good.

  7. It’s been so freakin’ hot here this week that ice cream has become a daily necessity. We don’t have flatout wraps up here, but I remember picking them up in the States before and liking them – never made the into a pizza though!

  8. Ice-cream o’clock? I like the sound of that! Having just developped an ice cream habit myself again it’s usually around 4 or 5 PM for me which coincidentially is now :). So you know what I’ll be doing next.
All-natural seems like a misleading term to me and your example just goes to show it. Actually, I’m not even sure of the proper definition of that term – I guess I’ll look it up to know. Anything that has been processed a lot doesn’t seem worthy of this label for me as natural rather makes me think of fruit and vegetables in their natural state. That’s not to say I’d be opposed to eating processed foods though.

  9. Mmmm cherries! I would be beyond ecstatic if a box of cherries showed up at my door! Lucky girl – hope they were delicious!

  10. I love making homemade pizza, but need to try flatout. Cherries and raspberries are going quick in my house.

  11. Your pizza looks awesome! I used to make Flat Out pizzas all the time but then I sort of forgot about them. Thanks for the reminder! I have some Flat Outs in my freezer that I need to use up!

  12. Hot, humid summer days = cold ice cream after dinner. I think it’s a law ;)

  13. Chobani says:

    Those muffins look great, Tiff!

PS: Cute kitty! Clicked through to the recipe. So adorable.
