Yesterday felt like Thursday to me. It was a bummer to realize today isn’t Friday. Hate it when that happens. Anywhooo, I’ve got the usual suspects to discuss today: food, fitness, and fun. (nope… no beer, womp womp)
English muffin sandwiches and I have been pretty close this week. I mentioned the chicken salad sandwich I had for lunch on Monday and Tuesday, but yesterday I went for salmon instead. I’m not a huge salmon fan, but it wasn’t bad. I totally recommend Trader Joe’s canned skinless, boneless, wild salmon, which I think also had no added salt, if I remember correctly.
Know what I also recommend? PBJs!!! Since Kevin was out taking a final exam, I had a pb&j with watermelon for dinner last night (followed by a hearty helping of ice cream), and I was seriously looking forward to it all.day.long.
Fitness and I haven’t been friends this week. I worked out Monday and Tuesday, but it just felt so much harder than normal. It isn’t that my heart rate is getting too high; I just felt like my body, especially my legs, just aren’t recovering.
So yesterday was an unplanned rest day. I did some yoga in the morning, some cleaning in the afternoon, and tried to just rest up. I’m hitting the gym today though, so wish me luck!
I’m heading out with some friends tonight, and I’m crossing my fingers for good weather since we’ll be outdoors. Tomorrow I’m having two other couples over for dinner. Though I’m looking forward to it and love hosting, I always get a little nervous. I think I do okay with cooking, especially for just Kevin and I, but I certainly don’t have much confidence with it. Oh well… practice
makes perfect doesn’t burn things.
