Okay… maybe not. But this has been one energy-zapping week for me. I thought energy levels were supposed to rise in the 2nd trimester??? They definitely have, but a few days this week have been especially rough.
Zevia kindly sent me an entire case of goodies to sample and review. Having never tried Zevia before, I was pumped! Many of the flavors are caffeine-free (the caffenated ones are being saved for the hubby should he decide to try them), and all of them are calorie-free.
In a nutshell, they’re really good, but I don’t think I’ll buy them myself. They taste like, well… stevia. If you like stevia, then you’re bound to love these things. I do really enjoy the strawberry, grapefruit, and caffeine-free cola flavors, but sadly, the one I was most excited for, purple grape, just wasn’t doing it for me.
I’ve been trying to think of way to work these babies into mocktails for my pregger Thirsty Thursday posts. However, it’s hard for someone who never drank cocktails to suddenly come up with mocktails. After one failure, I just went with an old standby instead…
Zevia root beer float with organic ice cream! (Yes, I indulged in a little dairy to make this baby.) It was delicious. Side note – Kevin got the tasting glass from the brewery in Amsterdam. I think he needs to take me with him next time….
Also, I made these awesome chocolate chip zucchini bread muffins yesterday. So good! I’ll be back tomorrow with a new workout routine!
