17 Weeks & Memorial Day Fun

I don’t know about you, but I’m exhausted!  I’d like to say I hosted this grand, elaborate cookout on Memorial Day with sparklers, beverages, homemade goodies, and of course, burgers… but I didn’t.  In fact, there was a bit of couch sittin’, after chores of course.  It’s great having Monday off, but I always treat it like a church-less Sunday.  Oh well, at least it made for two good Saturdays!

Before I dive into my mini weekend recap, I think it’s time for a bump update (bumpdate?).  The coolest part is that the baby’s little fingers and toes now feature one-of-a-kind prints.  Cool, right???

How far along? 17 weeks

Baby’s size? Turnip (about 5 inches)

Total weight gain/loss: About 7 or 8 pounds, which is good since I should be gaining about a pound/week now

Maternity clothes? Not just yet.  I packed two dresses for the wedding, and I still got into my first choice just fine.  Woohoo!

Sleep: Sleep has gotten better, though it’s still not what it was.

Best moment this week: Cutting up and giggling with Kevin at the wedding

Miss Anything? I was totally jealous of the wedding champagne toasts.  My water toast didn’t cut it.

Food cravings: Only sweets, sweets, and more sweets – it’s delicious yet frustrating!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Gender: Not sure… yet

Symptoms: This acne is something wicked.  The medicine made no difference, so I think I’ll have to throw it out – even though it set me back $190.  Ouch.  Other than that, not much except for a lack of movement… not baby movement, food-baby movement.  (TMI??? #sorryimnotsorry)

Happy or Moody most of the time: Overall very happy

Looking forward to: My next doc appt, which is this week

Well, that was fun, wasn’t it?  Here’s a little recap of the wedding Kevin and I went to this weekend in St. Louis.  Neither of us had ever been there, so we had fun exploring.  Here are a few photo highlights.

Yay for St. Louie!!! So jealous you got some BBQ! When I visited my friend there back in November we were supposed to get some but didn’t get a chance!
