Did you know that February is heart health month? I guess everyone and everything gets a month, eh? I’ll take any excuse to celebrate, so I’ll be celebrating the month with workouts, dark chocolate, red wine, healthy fats, and lots of snuggles. Snuggles are good for your heart too ya know, so my kitties better watch out!

Moving on with the food… Here’s my first WIAW of Heart-Health Month.
First Breakfast: rice cake and a wee bit of peanut butter
Second Breakfast: Kashi Heart to Heart Warm Cinnamon Oat cereal***, extra-DHA milk, and a naval orange
*** The cereal has soluble fiber, some protein, heart-healthy cinnamon, and not too much sugar. Win!
Snack: Sunwarrior Vanilla protein in water
Lunch: veggie bowl (broccoli slaw, cauliflower, edamame, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil) & Trader Joe’s wheat pita
Snack: carrots & more pb (I’ve been a little obsessed the past couple days.)
Dinner: ratatouille polenta bake (subbed artichokes canned in water for zucchini and used less cheese, this recipe is always a win whether I strictly follow it or just wing it)
Dessert: pumpkin protein mug cake! (I’ve been a hungry beast lately… not sure what’s up with that.)
- Had any good veggie bowls lately? I need new combo ideas!

I can’t ever seem to get enough peanut butter throughout the day lately… especially come nighttime.

Love pb with carrots! Don’t know if you’re able to get kabocha squash, but it’s great chopped up in a veggie bowl and I also love to add some kind of fruit like pomegranate seeds or blueberries. Happy WIAW!

I still haven’t found it near me, but I’m determined to try it soon!

Your food looks so good!
And pb is awesome with carrots, or cucumbers, or celery or anything, I think!
Happy Wednesday, beautiful Tiff!

Everything looks delicous! Rice cakes with PB…one of my favorites!

I wish we had that Kashi cereal here – I’ve always wanted to try it! It’s weird that we only get like half of the Kashi cereals here in Canada.

PB and carrots used to be my favorite combo before I became allergic. Lol. I’ve never had ratatouille before, but after watching that little cartoon with the mouse I’ve been wanting to try it
I’ll have to check out that recipe.
Interesting about the heart health month! I had no idea.

Oh no! What a terrible allergy.
I’ll have extra for ya!

Celery and peanut butter? I’ve never tried the carrots and pb, interesante.
I totes forgot about <3 health, good reminder!

Yeah, the celery combo is good, but since I’m not a huge celery fan, this is much better.

Great eats! Heart disease runs in my family so I try to always pay attention to my heart health

Carrots and PB? sounds a bit weird!
I love raw shredded zucchini mixed with Parm, lemon pepper seasoning, Tabasco, tomatoes and avocado! YUM!

And you think my combo is weird?!

I thought yesterday’s post with the quinoa and roasted veggies was really tasty!! Especially the change from the usual roasted veggies.
I love carrots and PB, too!

Any reason to eat more chocolate and snuggle is good in my books
And have you ever tried baby carrots with Sunbutter? I can’t speak for PB and carrots, but SB and carrots is pretty darned tasty! Wish I could help you with the veggie bowls, but my stomach hasn’t been taking kindly to veggies lately so I’ve kind of been avoiding them. Oops.

Love your nlog! how do you make your pumpkin protein mug? I make a protein brownie for one that is delicious…I guess I could sub pumpkin and make a delicious dessert, your are sparking my interest now

The one from last night was okay but not great. I’ll post a recipe or link up to one if I find a better one. The only saving grace from last night’s was a bit of chocolate I added!

Mhmm, I love the carrot and PB combo too! Need to get some more peanut butter ASAP.

I’ve only just discovered edamame beans and I love popping them out the pods straight into my mouth
I’m a bit obsessed with Indian dishes at the moment. Probably because they’re so tasty, easy to prepare and SO cheap! I also love Thai stir fries. This week I made a sweet n sour vegetable wok stir fry. Very simple to make and only took 15 minutes!
Happy WIAW!
Hope you’re having a great week xx

Yum! Indian food is great. I’ve got a curry dish planned for tonight that I’m really looking forward to eating!
