Yesterday’s eats were fairly random. For example, I skipped breakfast and had leftover bbq lunch, so I’m focusing on what I plan to eat today instead. I figured this would be better for meal planning inspiration since most all of it was packed and taken to the office.
Thanks again to Jenn for hosting another WIAW party!
Post Run: Kashi cereal with skim milk and small grapefruit (packed and eaten at the office after my workout)
Lunch: cabbage soup (a bowl from the big pot I made Sunday) and perhaps a small cappuccino
Snack: Quest Protein Bar (If I weren’t in the office, I would have had cottage cheese & berries, but this fit in my lunchbox.)
Dinner: leftover { lucky } black eye pea spicy masala with collard greens over brown rice (so healthy, so delicious)
Let’s hope there aren’t any leftover holiday treats on the office to tempt me from my plan. Of course, I do still have a couple frozen chocolate chip pumpkin muffins in my freezer… muaahahaha
- Got any holiday treats still hanging around?

I cooked my black eyed peas and never made them into anything.
Today is the day for it. Does that make it half-lucky?? I hope so! Happy New Year!

Mmmm, the black-eyed pea masala sounds amazing! I totally flaked on the whole “lucky meal” thing for the new year…but I totally forgot about shopping this weekend and by the time I thought about it, all the black-eyed peas and greens were GONE! Boo! Hopefully, I ate enough last year that there’s still a bit of luck left in my system for 2013!
I can’t believe the amount of sweets and treats still hanging around! I had my first shift at the hospital this week and the ER was covered in platters of cookies and cakes and dips and oh my god, stop the madness!! I swear I’m going to have to invest in some blinders if it doesn’t end soon! Lol

I got lucky. The only things still left in the office were hard candies, and those are very easy for me to ignore. Whew!

I have piles of treats! Partly because we were away for a week, and over Christmas, so we have not even started our Christmas cake yet!
I have a lot of chocolates that I will take to work next week, but some other ones that I will save and enjoy over the next few months

Christmas cake? Can I get in on that???

I love your idea of what I *will* eat. May have to try that for one of my WIAW posts.
That masala looks so good. I bet it’s very flavorful!

It actually kind of holds you to your plan. Nothing like a little extra accountability, eh?

I’ve still got some leftover holiday treats lying around… They’re definitely starting to dwindle though, and I’m happy to see them go… I want to try out my new KitchenAid mixer!

Jealous!!! haha Enjoy it extra for me!

The soups look so yummy!

It’s a winner! Well, actually Kevin thinks it’s crazy bland, but as a cabbage fan, I love it!

My eating was off yesterday too.I usually snack more but we were so busy that time got away from us. Hope you have a good day!
January 3, 2013 at 6:14 am
How does one forget snack??? haha JK I’m sure y’all had a blast!

Great plan! I’ve never had black-eyed peas or collard greens – I’d love to try out that lucky recipe.
There are definitely holiday treats still around the house… of which I’m now trying to avoid… haha!

Both are tasty, but of course that’s just my opinion.
It’s a twist from an Oh She Glows black eye pea masala recipe. I recommend it!

Pretty tasty looking eats! Nope, no holiday treats laying around here (thankfully).
Have a great day!!
