Another Wednesday, another WIAW. Yay! We’re also another week closer to Halloween. Double Yay! Would you believe I haven’t even had one piece of Halloween candy? This is what happens when you don’t work in an office anymore. I’m not complaining. I’ll be sure to get a Reese’s sooner or later…

Post-gym: pumpkin protein oats with chia
Lunch: cauliflower curry bowl
Snack: Quest protein bar (I planned an apple and wee bit of yogurt, but I could tell my body needed a little extra protein today.)
Dinner: Italian lentil meat-less-balls with spaghetti squash, which turned out to be further proof that my belly hates lentils
Hmm… the meals are not very exciting, are they? I suppose I could easily go as a creature of habit for Halloween.
- Are you a creature of habit when it comes to meals a/o snacks?

Ohhh I’m going to go check out your recipe for that cauliflower curry bowl! that sounds awesome!

I wish I could say the same thing about not eating any Halloween candy yet……we bought some about 3 weeks ago (STUPID!) and it’s almost gone. Mainly it’s Nick eating it all, but of course I’ve had a few pieces too. That’s what we get for buying it so early!!
Thanks for the reminder about how delicious spaghetti squash is. I haven’t had it enough this season. I love it.

Your cauliflower curry bowl sounds amazing!

Definitely a creature of habit when it come to eating. I used to try to get in as much variety as I could, but constantly trying to come up with new meal/snack ideas was exhausting. Now I tend to eat a lot of the same things just because I can’t be bothered
Ahh well, as long as it’s tasty, then who cares right?

Total, sad, creature of habit. I know I shouldn’t but I just like what I like:)

Maybe I am a creature of habit, but it is usually because I use whatever is in the house until it gets used up!

I am SUCH a creature of habit. I eat the same thing every day…well, I try to get a little exciting with my breakfasts as far as oatmeal toppings go, but I’m always eating oatmeal.
I haven’t had any Halloween candy either, but going strict vegan in October is great for preventing that. I am, however, shocked that I have not yet opened a can of pumpkin!

When it comes to snacks I am, but otherwise I eat differently every day; recipe experimentation mad!

My breakfast and midday snacks are always the same, but hey, whatever works!

Mmmmmm chickpeas! Total creature of habit when it comes to food, I get stuck in a rut a lot but figure that’s the least of my demons considering it’s usually healthy! Happy WIAW!

I would say I definitely have repeat snack/meal offenders

I just looked up the recipe for your cauliflower curry bowl! I cannot WAIT to try it!

Hope you like it. I warn ya – it’s super veggie-ful!

mmmmm . . . quest bars. One of my favorite bars!
That’s a bummer about lentils–I love them. But at least garbanzo beans work for you . . . I’d be so bummed if I couldn’t have those! They might be my all time favorite bean.
I’m like you–totally a creature of habit. My breakfasts and lunches are pretty much the same day-in, day-out. But I like it that way.

How do you make your spaghetti squash? I finally found some here and my microwave attempt was not successful, The roasting attempt didn’t work that well either! HELP!

I cut it in half and roast it facing down about 20 minutes at 420ish degrees. Then I flip them and roast another 22ish minutes depending on how they look and/or feel. I hope that helps!

It’s nice to have a regularly scheduled meal plan! I usually end up eating the same (ish) things every week.
Hmm, never tried a quest bar! It looks tasty! Favorite flavor?

Quest bars are a new thing for me, but I’m hooked! I like strawberry cheesecake and apple pie.

Those quest bars look really good! My body has been asking for protein too, it can be tricky as a vegetarian… especially on tough workout days. No candy here yet either! Other than pieces of a dark chocolate bar that I always have on had…

Looks like such a great day of food – if that’s what you call not exciting I’d be curious to see what’s exciting for you. It all looks creative and delish!
I totally am a creature of habits though I’ve been trying to change things up a bit lately. There are too many delish-looking recipes out there to try – your Cauliflower Curry Bowl being one of them.

I am definitely a creature of habit!

I’m not a big fan of chia seeds… but I need to start liking them huh?! (:
October 26, 2012 at 6:20 am
I guess ground flax is just as good for you. I like them both!
October 24, 2012 at 10:13 pm
My body dislikes lentils too. Actually, my stomach does not do well with any kind of beans. I hope they were good though! Maybe you can come up with some other kind of meat-less, lentil-less meatball recipe?! I’d be interested

I just found your blog and I have enjoyed reading through it. I look forward to following it! I’ve been enjoying a lot of pumpkin protein oats lately, and pumpkin no oat oatmeal. They are such nice and cozy breakfasts for Fall! I love Quest Bars, too!

I’m so glad you stopped by!
I am lucky to have found Quest bars recently. I think I already need to re-stock my supply!
