Yesterday started off with a trip to the gym. Well, it actually started off with an un-photographed Wasa Light Rye cracker.

Then it continued with that trip to the gym and 30 minutes of stationary biking. The intervals included 2 minutes of tricky and one minute of hard. All intervals kept me out of my comfort zone, but tricky zone allowed me to recover a bit.
Once I got to work, I shoveled in a strawberry parfait. (organic low-fat plain yogurt, berries, TJ’s fiber cereal)
I then had a hardboiled egg and a much needed café au lait for morning snack. (sorry no egg pic)
For lunch all week, I’m having this omega-full salad (tuna, broccoli, snap peas, cabbage, and romaine). I have to admit – I don’t actually like it. The problem is my dressing: Annie’s Shitake Sesame. Ewww – not a fan. I may have also snuck in another Wasa cracker…
Afternoon snack is an EAS low-carb protein shake, a small green apple, and lots of water. (Yup, I’m finally on my last box of these shakes. Thanks EAS for all the goodies!)
Dinner was pretty fabulous, and cooking it was very relaxing. Cooking one-pot meals with lots of aromatic spices is therapeutic for me, and this fit the bill. It’s chana masala over rice.
For dessert, I ate a chocolate almond butter Kashi cookie. Buy these. They’re delish!

Those are my eats for this week’s What I Ate Wednesday (WIAW). Be sure to check out Peas & Crayons for other great eats, recipes, and meal ideas!

I wish my clients enjoyed the wasa crackers more, but most of them don’t. It usually takes a suggestion to add peanut butter or cheese to get them to like the idea! I love them, so crunchy!

I had a Ken’s Asian Sesame that I didn’t really enjoy that much, either. I actually let it expire before I used it all. And that NEVER happens…

I guess I need to just pick a couple good ones and stick with them instead of always trying to change it up.
July 25, 2012 at 8:06 am
Are those wasa crackers good? I try another type before and I didn’t love them. I’ll try the rye!
July 25, 2012 at 11:05 am
Well, they aren’t exactly delicious or gourmet, but they’re a good low-cal option for a quick bite.
July 25, 2012 at 8:24 am
I like those darn crackers. I haven’t gotten the rye, I always forget which one it is that I end up with, but they’re kind of addicting.
July 25, 2012 at 12:52 pm
They go stale super fast too, so you have to eat them quickly.

I love making lasagna.. the smells mmmm so good.
July 25, 2012 at 12:53 pm
Oooo, that’s another good one!

I don’t think I could ever pick a favorite thing to cook. There are just to many!
July 25, 2012 at 11:19 am
Hmmm kashi cookies you say? I need to keep my eyes peeled for these!
July 25, 2012 at 12:23 pm
LOVE Wasa crackers!! YUM!
July 25, 2012 at 12:47 pm
Cooking one pot meals is therapeutic for me, too- it’s very satisfying! I’ll have to check out those cookies. I can always use some extra chocolate in my life.
July 25, 2012 at 1:00 pm
I always strayed away from the Kashi brand for no particular reason but can’t wait to buy more since I started eating their oatmeal.
July 25, 2012 at 2:25 pm
Of course I am a Fozzie Bear fan!
It’s funny, I looove tuna normally, but for some reason I am not a fan of it on my salads.
And yeah, I am all over those Kashi cookies. I need to find those immediately.
July 25, 2012 at 2:33 pm
I was eyeing those kashi cookies the other day! I’m sure they are delish…I have yet to buy something from kashi that I didn’t love!

Try Annie’s Goddess. Best dressing ever.
July 26, 2012 at 7:05 am
I agree that the goddess one is waaaaay better. So good!
July 25, 2012 at 8:09 pm
Love wasa crackers over here too, and I second Matt’s comment- Annie’s goddess dressing is amazing!
July 26, 2012 at 7:05 am
Agreed. That one is soooo much more flavorful!

SO good to know about the Shitake Sesame dressing. I LOVE LOVE LOVE (minor to major obsession with) Newman’s Seasame Ginger, and so I’ve been wondering if any other sesame dressings can compare. Probably not.
I iked her Gingerly dressing OK, but I’m sticking with Paul. {Better price, too!}
I recently also fell in food lust with Fiber One. Is that weird? My dad had it and when I was visiting I wanted to sprinkle it on everything. Next time I get to TJs I’ll have to check out his version. [It's usually the best...]
Also, if you love Wasa, you need to find AkMaks. Seriously.
