I was going to skip out on the WIAW party this week (guess I partied enough last weekend). However, since I mentioned a sample meal plan on Tuesday, I figured I should show how it’s going.
Breakfast – rice cake followed by a berry and cereal parfait after my workout (complete with fat-free, plain Greek yogurt)
Snack – 10 almonds + orange (I snacked on 10 more almonds later)
Lunch – salad (romaine, chickpeas, cucumber, pepper, tomatoes, goddess dressing) + whole wheat sandwich thin
Snack – 12 sugar snap peas + EAS protein (not natural, but quite tasty)
Dinner – leftover jerk chicken packets over brown rice (turmeric added for anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties)
Snack – crack cookies… aka: Trader Joe’s Meyer Lemon Cookie Thins
As for this morning’s workout, I did 10 minutes of yoga as a warm up, and I completed this 30-minute pilates routine. I followed that up with this:
- - pushups, floor tricep dips on ball, 30 sec mtn climbers
- - dumbbell flyes on ball, lateral dumbbell flies, 1 min standing twists holding stability ball
- - overhead press with dumbbell (high rep)

That parfait looks great! I also love chickpeas on my salad! I hate when I don’t have them!

Sometimes I think I could eat chickpeas daily. So yummy – so versatile

Have you actually watching “Don’t be Tardy”? It is kind of ridiculous and amazing that she has her own show…but then again it’s amazing that most people have their own shows. LOL That parfait looks YUMMY!

Dear TJ’s lemon cookies: I’m coming for you.
I recently found an amazing fresh salad mix of edamame and lentils. Great for lunches.

Trader Joe’s makes WAY too many crack cookies. The thins are like crack. And then the Joe Joes? A box never lasts more than 2 days in our house.

I know better than to bring home joe joes. I’m the only one in the house who would eat them, and they’d still be gone in 2 days.

I love the EAS drinks. Does blending them with spinach cancel out the artificial parts?
I’ve also been adding turmeric to everything for that same reason. I don’t know if it’s helping, but my body could use all the help it can get!

My brother and sister-in-law brought three varieties of those thin TJ’s cookies to the beach last weekend, but we were too involved with homemade ice cream and the brownie-flavored puppy chow to get into them! Now I’m sad I missed out.
