Happy Saturday! Today’s post is a little late, but I have a really really really good excuse. I wasn’t out late. I didn’t work out this morning. My only excuse is that I got to bed at a reasonable hour and slept in late today.
Rain + Benadryl = Good Saturday Morning.
So here I am enjoying my protein oats and my Archer Farms coffee. (I love Target brand coffee!) As you may know, I re-started LiveFit week 3 this week, and it was rough. My entire body was seriously feeling it, even my hands!
My Lifting Gloves Aren’t Cutting It
I kept the eats pretty healthy this week despite the difficult food situation. (BTW: Fridge is still broken, so we resorted to using the kegerator in the garage. Hey, it’s better than nothing!)
Friday Breakfast and Lunch (Steamed Chicken, Veg, Brown Rice)
I even had a healthy Friday night meal planned, but Kevin was jonesin’ for a chimichanga from his favorite Mexican restaurant. I wasn’t all that in the mood to go out to eat, but when the hubs wants to go, you don’t question it. Date nights are rare in this house, so out we went!
I “tried” to keep it semi-healthy by ordering the tacos that don’t come with cheese or fried shells, but let’s face it – I still ate all of it, and some chips, and a beer. Whoops!
I also want to mention that Heather @ Running With Sass kindly featured me on her post today. Go check it out, and while you’re there, check out her running skirts too. She’s a sales rep for Running Skirts, and I think they’re just darling. The next race I run will be in a skirt or tutu, that’s for darn sure!
Now I’m off to clean my house before company arrives…
- What are your plans for the weekend?

I love Target brand stuff too! Sometimes I think it tastes even better than what it’s knocking off haha
Your date night sounded super fun, hope you have a great rest of the weekend Tiff!

Ugh, I hate the little blisters that form from lifting as well. :/
I hope you’re enjoying the LiveFit workouts. I did the first month and then decided to stray away a bit, but I definitely liked the workouts.

Ouch your poor hands!
The sun is shining here too so a walk outside will be on the cards.
I am going to see some friends in a minute, which will be fab as I have not seen them since I have had my operation- I need some female company!

Yay for week 3!! This entire week left me SO sore. I worked my legs on Monday, and today I finally got around to working them again. I even had to take an impromptu rest day, it’s definitely the heavier weights!
March 26, 2012 at 8:16 am
Yup, I’m definitely putting on muscle! Good luck with week 4.

Those little blisters stink. I was doing the LiveFit plan and started to get them. I never thought the weight lifting gloves were necessary but i quickly learned I was wrong. I hope to start up the LiveFit plan soon, but work and travel has gotten in the way.

Stupid work always getting in the way of fun…

Nothing wrong with a little Saturday sleep in!
This weekend I did a 10 mile trail race – rain + trails = MUD, but it was fun. Today – just catching up on work and cuddling with the pup!

Sounds like quite a race!

That mex meal sounds like a YAY to me, not an OOPS! Whenever I order something like a salad at a Mexican place I ALWAYS regret it. You really have to go with something involving chips and a tortilla or it’s just not the same!!

ouccchhh.
We are on week 2
love it
