I rested up this weekend, and it was gooooood. Here’s a little recap of happenings.
A friend picked me up a couple magazines on Friday. I enjoy flipping through the pages. Apparently, I learned how to drop 10 pounds in a month and get “rockin” abs. Hmmm… we’ll see about that.
On Friday night, I cooked A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. lasagna. Friends came for dinner, so I was glad it turned out well. Although I didn’t take any pics of the people or the food, I managed to snap a pic of this. (You’re not surprised, are you???)
On Saturday, I went for a 3-mile run, and it was one of the best runs I’ve had in quite a while. I did approximately 2.7 miles in 20 minutes, 59 seconds. Just call me Speedy Tiffzales. I finished up with a well deserved cool-down and a well deserved trip to Starbucks. Skinny Peppermint Mocha = Christmas in a Cup
Kevin and I visited with other friends Saturday night, which got us home at a reasonable hour. Sunday was just as chill. (I’m not sure who is less comfortable in this shot, but they actually stayed this way quite a while.)
Although I missed a pic of the fresh-out-of-the-oven lasagna, I at least snapped a pic of the leftovers I had for lunch on Sunday. Lasagna’s major comfort food for me!
Was your weekend chill and relaxing, or were you caught in the holiday hustle and bustle?

Ohh is that the new fitness mag I spy!?! I love that mag! I have a subscription so hopefully I get mine soon!

Love the headlines/I wonder who actually “buys” them. My weekend was relaxing, I was housebound with a cold or flu- hate that not festive at all.

Mmm lasagna
Sounds like a great weekend!

Lasagna is definitely on my comfort food list. So good!
I subscribe to a few fitness-related magazines, and they always have the same things in them… but I figure if I pick up a few tips here and there, it’s not a bad thing. Of course, I don’t expect that I’ll lose 10lbs or get ripped abs in one month.
Nice work on the run – I did 3.1 yesterday too, but it was 22* and I was just not feeling it. It took me two miles to get into a rhythm. Better luck tonight I hope. Or I might just do some videos since it’s 11* outside right now…

Oh I love lasagna
. And you’re absolutely right…a skinny peppermint mocha = Christmas in a cup! I love that drink! Sounds like a great weekend. Hope you have a great Monday!

Dropping 10 lbs in a month is ridiculous- unless you have a lot to lose and aren’t already living a pretty healthy lifestyle! And I imagine that most of the readers of those mags are already avid gym-goers!
(I read them too… no judgement! I only ever buy them at the airport to read on the plane and usually just read the free ones at the gym)
My weekend was a lot of holiday shopping and stuff, but not too crazy. We made sure to be done early enough to have lots of time to sit and relax (and cook!) in the evening.

I wish I could say that my weekend was chill but it was pretty crazy trying to occupy my 1,3, and 6 year old! Michael works on the weekends so it’s just me and the kids… no relaxing going on here!
A peppermint latte sounds great right about now!

Hi Tiff~
I relaxed playing with a 6 year old grandson!@!#$ With it being one week before Christmas, and his birthday weekend party with TWO sets of grandparents, it was high energy relaxing. We are blessed with ALL of our grandchildren–and the oldest sure knows how to live her life fully and sanely. Although the 2.7 miles in under 21 miles pushes the limits a bit. Congrats : ) M

Lasagna is easily one of my favorite comfort foods, and yours looks great. Congrats on your speedy run, too! I always manage to capture images of the booze too, no surprise there for me.

Hahaha isn’t it funny how almost every magazine claims the same thing? Especially this time of year!
December 20, 2011 at 8:04 am
I know, and I think they all ran out of material 15 years ago.
December 20, 2011 at 12:26 am
